The UNEP/CMS Secretariat is pleased to announce that the UNEP Executive Director has appointed Mr. Bradnee Chambers as the new Executive Secretary of the Convention on Migratory Species.

Mr. Chambers currently heads the Environmental Law and Governance Branch of the Division of Environmental Law and Conventions at UNEP headquarters in Nairobi and is expected to take up his new position in the near future.

A copy of the Memorandum of 14 January 2013 to members of the UNEP/CMS Standing Committee from the Chair, Professor Alfred Oteng-Yeboah, is attached to this Notification.
